The invention of the Paralife Project was not planned. Ruy Marra was flying above Copacabana beach on his paramotor when he saw a woman drowning.

" I placed my life jacket on my feet, made a fast maneuver and left the life jacket on the woman's hand "

In that moment a new idea was born, and in the 2001-2002 season the Paralife Project saved twenty lives and generated 30 radio alerts for Florianopolis lifeguards.

Ruy Marra is a two time Brazilian champion in paragliding, and held the record in flying distance in 91, 92 ,93, 94 and 95. He was also champion in the High Level International Tournament in 1996. Ruy was an important member of the Brazilian Team during World Championships in 89, 91 and 93.
